ATEEZ, who topped the US Billboard 200, makes a surprise transformation into special 'rock stars'
Digital IP entertainment company IPX (formerly LINE FRIENDS) has opened its third pop-up, "MIGHTEEZ Rock The Stage POP-UP," at K-POP SQUARE Hongdae, featuring "MIGHTEEZ," the character IP created in collaboration with global sensation ATEEZ. The pop-up, which showcases the characters' surprise transformation into "rock stars," saw its pre-registration slots sell out in just five minutes, proving their soaring popularity.
MIGHTEEZ is a character IP that reimagines the personalities and moods of ATEEZ members through IPX’s creative lens, born from a story where the members gifted each character with unique superpowers. In this pop-up, both the MIGHTEEZ characters, preparing for their rock star debut, and ATEEZ, who recently topped the U.S. Billboard 200 with their 14th mini-album, transform into the brightest rock stars on stage through the "Rock The Stage" theme. The members personally participated in an exclusive photoshoot tailored to the concept. Concept images for each member posted on the official Instagram garnered over 5 million combined views, heightening anticipation for a universe where artists and characters unite on a single stage.
Running until the 27th, the pop-up brings the MIGHTEEZ rock star debut stage and backstage area to life. Visitors are first greeted by new visuals of MIGHTEEZ and ATEEZ members wearing sunglasses and holding guitars and keyboards. The space recreates the excitement of pre-show backstage life with member-specific lockers and handwritten posters that fans can peel off and keep. The main photo zone features a large stage complete with metal structures and sound equipment, offering an immersive experience that feels like being at a real concert. Fans who visited commented, "It felt like being invited to the actual debut stage of MIGHTEEZ," and "Seeing ATEEZ transformed to match this concept made the pop-up experience even more special."
Products capturing the new charm of MIGHTEEZ also captivated fans. Available items include MIGHTEEZ plush keyrings featuring rock-inspired outfits and accessories, string bags, plush bags, and MIGHTEEZ x COLLER fashion items. Notably, a "Special Photo Set" featuring unreleased photos of the ATEEZ members transformed into rock stars for the "Rock The Stage" concept is available exclusively at this pop-up.
Meanwhile, the "MIGHTEEZ Rock The Stage POP-UP" is being held simultaneously in Seoul, Busan, China, and Japan, with plans to expand sequentially to major cities across Asia and Europe.
